Some examples of various items that we find while cleaning the same marina every day. As you can see, we get all types of rubbish that usually get trapped in the corners. Each month we will produce an inventory or the items/rubbish that we have found.

We specialise in keeping marinas clean.
Firstly we will walk along every part of the marina picking out the rubbish and driftwood from the water. If you have ever kept your boat in a marina then you will know that the rubbish tends to collect in the corners and between your boat and the pontoons. Once we have done the ‘walk around’ we use one of our boats to cover the open water and the back of the boats that were inaccessible when walking on the pontoons. This not only allows us to remove the rubbish floating out of reach from the pontoons but also allows us to check that nothing is caught on the boats props or rudders. We often remove rope or plastic from owner’s props / rudders without them ever knowing they were there in the first place. We also keep a daily record of everything removed from the water, total weight of wood, plastic, glass metal (tins etc) plus anything ‘unusual’ At the end of each month we give the total record to the owners of the marina. Makes very interesting and often surprising read. |
