Cleaning a slipway (properly) is nothing like cleaning an area on land. You have a tide that covers the slipway twice a day bringing with it the fast growing green algae and the slower growing brown sea weed and depending on the location of the slipway you will also get deposited sand or mud, not to mention floating seaweed, wood and wide variety of rubbish.

Slipways need to be maintained regularly to keep them safe to use.

We always try and pick a tide that will completely uncover the slipway allowing us to reach the very end. Firstly we remove and separate (recycle) any floating debris etc, we then either power wash or brush (depending on the type of surface) finally we apply a approved solution to help prevent the green algae from re growing.
